OUR STORY

PRESS RELEASE - 2/16/24

ORRVILLE, Ohio – Feb. 16, 2024- After 45 years of dedication and commitment to the Orrville community, Jerry Demlow, the visionary behind Jerry’s Cafe, has decided to retire.  A new era begins with his departure as Brick Street Kitchen & Taproom is set to open in March of 2024.

Having been a cornerstone of the Orrville community for 45 years, Jerry’s Cafe has been a beloved establishment known for its Jerry’s Burger, fish dinners, and cold drinks. Jerry Demlow not only built a successful business but has also fostered a warm and welcoming environment where memories were made and friendships flourished.

The new ownership group taking the reins consists of Joel & Amber Beichler, Aaron & Halee Green, Brian & Nicole Lacy and Hillary Plybon.  They remain committed to preserving the legacy and charm that Jerry’s Cafe has cultivated while infusing fresh energy and ideas into the establishment.  Brick Street Kitchen and Taproom aims to elevate your sports bar food experience and offer a unique selection of beers and cocktails for patrons old and new.

"Brick Street Kitchen & Taproom is an investment into our local community.  We have been fortunate in our other business endeavors that closely align with the same mission, which is providing folks a great experience. We hope to bring a great dining and bar environment and maybe even sprinkle in some entertainment along the way!”- Aaron J. Green

The transition in ownership marks a new chapter in the story of Jerry’s Cafe. Brick Street Kitchen & Taproom plans to open in March of 2024. If you are interested in joining our team, email our GM Brent Miller at Brent@brickstreetkt.com.
